We Nortons have been very busy and haven’t had time to blog in a while. We’re doing great, and the babies are growing and getting cuter everyday.
We just returned from a trip to the Northwest where we visited Steve’s family. Our trip started with a 17-hour travel day. It wasn’t the best way to start a vacation, but we survived it. Spending hours upon hours in airports with two very young children is quite a challenge. Our kids were great though and just rolled with the punches. Mommy and Daddy were sure worn out though.
Our first stop was Aunt Lori and Uncle Clay’s house. Uncle Clay took the day off on Wednesday, and the six of us headed to the Oregon Zoo. It was a fabulous day!
After the zoo, we headed to Jimmy O’s Pizzeria. Yummy!! We always have a great time when we’re together!
On Thursday, Aunt Lori took us to JJ Jump.
On Friday, we went to Gramps’ beach house where we stayed until Sunday.
On Sunday, we drove over to Seaside, OR to spend time with Grandma Robin, Grandpa D’Wayne, Aunt Emily, Uncle John, Gayle and Joe. First stop was the Seaside Carousel Mall.
While at the mall, Grandma bought Claire a doctor’s kit. She LOVES it! (She’s a huge fan of the Disney Junior show Doc McStuffins, so this was the perfect gift for her.)
Monday morning we went swimming.
Afterward, we went to the Seaside Aquarium where we got to feed seals and pet starfish, sea cucumbers, sea anemone, sea urchins, etc. (Just for the record, the sea anemone are not what you expect them to be. They were my favorite.)
On Monday, we visited Grandpa LeRoy and Grandma Faye and their dog, Chocolate.
Chocolate and Claire danced together.
We headed back home on Tuesday. Getting home was much easier than getting there! When we arrived at Tulsa International Airport at 11:15 p.m., Claire was one sleepy girl, but Cale was wide awake – at least until we got into the van for the ride home.
What a great trip! Thanks to everyone for taking such good care of us! We had a wonderful time!
