I’ve been a bit busy lately and have failed to blog much. Here’s some of what you’ve been missing.
Steve passed his CRJ check rides and is now licensed to fly “the jet!” So proud of my wonderful hubby!
We celebrated Nanny’s 91st birthday!
We also attended GiGi’s Valentine’s Day party. Claire had a blast collecting candy from everyone (very reminiscent of their Halloween party).
Cale has learned to clean! (He spilled water on the floor and grabbed the towel off of the counter and wiped it up. I just happened to see him and get a picture of it.) Makes a mama proud!
We went to the Oklahoma Aquarium with some friends. We had a great time and got to pet sting rays, sharks, sea cucumbers, horseshoe crabs, sea stars, etc. Sharks feel really neat. I had no clue they would feel like that. We had a great time! We didn’t take many pictures, but here are a couple.
LOVE the blue lips on that parrot fish! Looks like something Claire might have colored.
Claire and Cale had their first dental checkup. They both did great. No cavities. No problems of any kind. Claire has 20 teeth. Cale has 9 with 3 more on the way.
Then it was Cale’s turn for a checkup.
Claire got toys from the dentist.
A general update on the kids:
Claire – She is tall and beautiful. She is wearing size 5T or a girl’s XS in clothes. She wears size 10 shoes. Her favorite colors are pink and purple. She loves jewelry and nail polish and hair bows and all things girly. She is still taking ballet and LOVES it! She is very good at it and works very hard at perfecting her choreography. She is also learning some basic gymnastics and is learning to do cartwheels. She can even touch her toes to her head! She is so very smart. She shocks me everyday with new things she’s learned. She is SO excited about her upcoming birthday. She’s been talking about it since Christmas. She’s about to burst with anticipation! Hilarious!!
Cale – He is so adorable and fun. He is a big boy, wearing 18-24 months and some 2T clothing. He wears size 7 shoes. He loves trucks and balls and climbing and jumping. He is busy all of the time. He loves to make people laugh. He thinks that he is as big as Claire (He’s almost as tall.) and should be able to do everything she does. He usually tries. He has become very conversational lately. We don’t understand everything he says, but he talks a lot. He loves to snuggle, and I love it too. He is such a sweet boy. He has learned to take off all of his clothes. He will undress from head to toe anytime anywhere. Oh dear!
Cale has discovered a new way to ride his “rockin’ puppy.”
Steve has been working hard to build us a fence. We had lots of wood and concrete delivered on Thursday. PopPop and Claire supervised.
This work was interrupted by freezing rain. Hopefully we’ll get it finished in the next few weeks. I’m currently on the hunt for a few outdoor toys for the kids to enjoy.
Fifteen years after the car wreck, I have finally found a doctor who knows how to fix my neck and back! I have been going to physical therapy for eight weeks now, and all muscle spasms have stopped. I have started gaining strength and have started using muscles I haven’t used in 15 years. It’s amazing how much better I feel. In fact, starting this weekend, I’ll be able to get into the gym again!
We are busier than we’ve been in years, but we are having so much fun! Our kids are never-ending entertainment. Life is good! We are so very blessed!!
