We had a very busy and very fun weekend filled with Christmas events and activities.
Saturday morning we went to Chick-Fil-A for breakfast on our way to Macy’s Santaland. Great job, Macy’s! We had a wonderful time!
Cale checking out the elves in Santaland
My kids loved walking around Santaland.
Mrs. Claus came out of her kitchen, taking a break from baking cookies, to wish us a Merry Christmas.
Telling Santa what they want for Christmas (Claire asked for Hello Kitty jammies. Cale asked for a cookie.)
Santa gave us pins to commemorate our visit.
After visiting Santa, we went to Mrs, Claus’ Bakery for cookies. Cale’s Christmas wish came true! Yummy!
Claire was having the time of her life!
We spent the day shopping and bought Steve a new train.
We stopped at Burger King for dinner and then headed downtown to watch the Holidazzle Parade. It was a bit chilly, and the parade was moving very slowly; so we didn’t stay too long. We managed a few pictures though.
Yesterday we went to church. My kids were all dressed up – so beautiful and so handsome!
Claire and I spent some time putting together a gingerbread house yesterday afternoon.
Afterward, Steve and the kids made peanut butter blossom cookies. (I didn’t take any pictures.) Steve had the kids help him unwrap Hershey’s kisses. Cale asked, “Are they yucky?” Steve said, “No.” Then Cale popped one in his mouth. Then every chance he got, he snuck in another one. Oh boy!
Last night we went to Holiday Lights in the Park – a drive through light tour in St. Paul. (It’s no where near as spectacular as Rhema, but apparently it’s the best they have to offer here. As an added bonus, we got to ride around in our van, all warm and cozy, eating snacks and listening to Christmas music. It was nice.)
My babies fell asleep on the way home.
We had a very busy and very fun weekend! We’re so excited about Christmas tomorrow!! We’re going to have two full days of celebration. I’ll post pictures when I have time.
Merry Christmas!!
