We started off our week by flying to Washington, D.C. Claire and I went to the National Zoo. We had a great time. The pandas were Claire’s favorites. She kept pointing at them and giggling. They were so cute!
We went to Red Robin for dinner one evening, and Claire got a “bwoon,” which is one of her favorite things. (The sun had set, and the parking lot lights were weird. I was playing around with the settings on my new camera, so this picture is the best of what I got.)
Claire has a new affinity for Chips Ahoy cookies. Daddy seems to think they make a great before-bed snack.
Claire and I spent a couple of days in Houston and then traveled back to Memphis this afternoon. Here’s a picture of Claire sitting in her own seat on the plane watching some Veggie Tales on her DVD player. She looks so grown up.
Tonight we had dinner with a great friend of ours. Jay works with Steve. I haven’t seen Jay in about two years, and he had never met Claire. It was great to catch up with him.
Tomorrow we’re driving the truck back to Houston to switch out vehicles. Next week, we’re off to the Northwest for some time with Steve’s family.
What a crazy month! I’m loving it!
