Thats It!
What do you get when you take a 24 volt DC adapter, an industrial micro-circuit voltage regulator, a little left over alarm wire from a recent project (an entirely different post). And a Daddy fed up with the Graco/Energizer affair that has us parents replacing batteries every few days?

Oh dear! It looks like you've hooked our baby up to an electric chair. I do hope this is safe.
For the record, folks, it does appear safe thus far. It swings higher and faster than before and the music is much louder. It's a real carnival ride now.
This gives a whole new meaning to the term time out. Does her hair stand on end when she swings now?
I think this is very clever. And it looks very impressive.
Looks slightly against electrical code, but I'm sure it's "OK".
