They have stairs to get you from uptown to downtown 
yes this is an actual photo from my hometown. If you look closely you can see the 'Kelso Stairs.' There are 130 steps to get from downtown to old uptown, sadly this may be one of the last pictures of this historic landmark from 1933 as they were damaged (as you can see) in a landslide that consumed several homes.

I remember having to run to the stairs in track. I was suppose to run to the stairs and go up and down, however, I don't actually recall ever going up and down. Since they were around the corner from the field, I skipped since the coaches couldn't see.
